A hangout is a call room in which you can talk with voice and video.

Each hangout has a text chat.

Spontaneous call rooms

A call room that can be created on the fly by anyone.

Actually allowing the creation of call rooms by anyone, would require giving permission to add children to a space. To get around this, one and the same room could be used for multiple calls that’d be presented as pseudo call rooms. Users wouldn’t need the permission to create new rooms and add them to a space, since they could start a new call inside the one they’re already in. The downside is that these calls cannot naturally have their own chats. They could implement chats using threads or separate, linked-to rooms.

Soundboard

Like an emoji pack, a soundboard is a collection of audio files that can be played in a call.
